Applicants must have an M.D. with relevant research experiences or a Ph.D. in psychology, neuroscience, policy health, or a related field. Applicants must be a US Citizen or Permanent Resident. For ABPN accreditation, applicants must be able to be eligible to obtain medical licensure in the New York State as well as eligible for board certification in psychiatry. We will also consider physicians who are board eligible in the following specialties: Internal Medicine, Family Practice, Emergency Medicine, Neurology, Obstetrics/Gynecology, Anesthesia, or Pediatrics.

Applications will be accepted through the Electronic Residency Application Service (ERAS; https://students-residents.aamc.org/training-residency-fellowship/article/myeras-application-fellowship-applicants). Through the ERAS system,  each applicant is required to submit a standard application form, a recent curriculum vita, reprints of publications (if applicable).  

The ERAS system will also be used to solicit and submit letters of recommendation from three faculty members who will be providing letters of reference. One reference should be from the Department Chairman or Residency Training Director.  

Selection is based on prior academic record, research accomplishments or motivation to gain research training, recommendations, and interviews with the faculty of our program.

Applications will be accepted starting July 1 through October 1 in order to start the fellowship the following July 1.

Fellowship start date: July 1st
