Video Outreach and Identity-Centered Engagement (VOICE) Lab
Director: Doron Amsalem, MD
Columbia University Department of Psychiatry · New York State Psychiatric Institute
A platform dedicated to developing, testing, and scaling evidence-based brief video interventions tailored to youth mental health needs.
Personal stories are a powerful yet underused tool in mental health care — they can reduce stigma, increase understanding, and help people recognize themselves in the experiences of others. The VOICE Lab develops and tests brief, evidence-based video interventions that harness lived experience to promote help-seeking, improve engagement with care, and increase access to mental health services.
