R61 DA058985 (PI: Sussman; 09/2024-06/2029)
This project aims to determine if higher levels of structural racism relate to adolescent 1) reduced belief in a just world, 2) steeper delay discounting and related brain activity, 3) brain structure, and 4) substance use risk. The buffering effects of structural- and family-level protective factors will be examined to help shape prevention efforts.
As of 3/14/25, this grant is subject to NIH termination.
