Crystal Kim, NPP, is an ANCC board-certified psychiatric nurse practitioner and an Instructor of Nursing in Psychiatry at Columbia University Medical Center (CUMC). She received her Bachelor's degree in Nursing at the University of Pennsylvania and her Master's degree in Psychiatric-Mental Health Nursing at Columbia University.
Crystal has experience evaluating and treating adults suffering from mood and anxiety disorders, ADHD, and adjustment disorders in both acute and non-acute settings across diverse populations. Additionally, Crystal is a part of the Columbia Women's Program team and has received specialized training to effectively treat the unique psychiatric concerns of women across the reproductive cycle.
As a nurse practitioner, she values an empathic, holistic approach in treating mental health concerns which includes the use of various psychotherapies, behavioral/lifestyle modification, and medications if indicated. After completing a thorough psychiatric evaluation and sharing a diagnostic impression, Crystal collaborates with patients to form an individualized treatment plan.
