The Reiner Center for Behavioral and Psychosomatic Medicine

December 16, 2015

“The best work environment produces the best work,” said Dr. Ralph Wharton, commenting on the well-designed space of the new Reiner Center for Behavioral and Psychosomatic Medicine.  Department of Psychiatry faculty Dr. Wharton and Dr. Richard Sloan are Co-Directors of the Center, which opened with a ribbon-cutting ceremony, a welcome culmination of several years of energetic and determined effort. Housed on the fifteenth floor of Presbyterian Hospital, the soundproof glass-enclosed offices provide superb research, teaching and clinical space for approximately 35 faculty and support staff.   Since the opening, colleagues, contributors, and even friendly competitors covet the space, while new research assistants and post-docs alike work later than ever, happy with the layout and the fifteenth floor views

Funding for the new Center was provided by the Department of Psychiatry, Delos Living and the Nathaniel Wharton Fund for Research.
