Give to the Department of Psychiatry
Thank you for your interest in supporting the Columbia University Department of Psychiatry. Our mission is to define for the field the standards of care and practices in psychiatry through leading edge research, clinical care, policy, and training. Together we can play a major role in reducing the burden of mental illness on society and raising the standards of mental health care in the world. Our efforts in basic and translational biomedical research in general--and the social, behavioral and neural sciences in particular--will shape the practice of psychiatric medicine and training of psychiatrists and allied disciplines in mental health care both in our country and around the world.
Philanthropy is vital for Columbia to realize its mission and advance the research and treatment of mental illness. Much of our progress is the result of the foresight, commitment, and dedication of our supporters – individuals, corporations, and foundations – whose investment in our research efforts help to improve the quality of life of patients everywhere.
